Different kinds of camping and campers will need different camp stoves. Those who go backpacking prefer compact stoves that are extremely small and light. These have a single burner suitable for cooking food in a small pot. On the other hand, base camp stoves are larger with two burners that are used with regular-sized pots, griddles and frying pans.
One of the most recommended compact cooking gadgets is the Brunton stove. It weighs less than a pound and can be folded into a very small package. It is very easy to bring along especially on long hikes. It uses a small fuel canister and will operate for about an hour and a half on one canister of fuel.
