Brunton stove

When I was a young girl, I joined the girl scouts league. It was different back then, we didn’t have to sell cookies like some girls do now. We also spent some time in the outdoors. We went on overnight camping trips and learned how to cook our own meals. My 10-yearold niece is a girl scout and yesterday she brought home a Brunton stove to bring to her camping trip this weekend.

So much has changed since I was a little girl. We didn’t have a portable Brunton stove to bring along during camping trips. Back then, we would just put a few twigs together, put some fir and place kettle on top of it. We hardly cooked that much back then, most of our meals were composed of skewered hotdogs and marshmallows placed on top of flames. I hope my niece enjoys herself, she needs to work hard, play hard, and eat well after all.
