CamelBak

February 24th, 2010

Hydration equipment was initially produced for bikers. That is how CamelBak hydration system became a popular accessory among mountain bikers and motocross riders. Scientific studies have shown that athletes drank more fluids and performed better when they wore a CamelBak hydration system. Today, its use has extended to all sorts of sports and activities. In addition to cyclists, it has now attracted hikers, backpackers, runners and snowboarders.

A CamelBak hydration system consists of a pack that is generally worn on the back or around the waist which contains a bladder that has been filled with water. There is a flexible tube that leaves the reservoir and has a mouthpiece at the other end. The mouthpiece end can be clipped to the front portion of the CamelBak and is used to drink from. It has the advantage of having to carry a lot of water in a convenient way. Many find that it is worth carrying the additional weight if it provides enough hydration on long workouts.

Gregory backpacks

June 3rd, 2009

It was year 2000 when I got hooked on camping and hiking. I love the outdoors as well as the gear that comes with it. I started buying Backpacker magazines and was amazed at all the gears. What I loved the most are the jackets and tents as well as Gregory backpacks. Not only are they very functional they also look great!

Around the same time also, I had the opportunity to spend a month in Hawaii. I visited all the islands and loved every minute of it. I went hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, and surfing. The Gregory backpacks I bought prior to the trip was well used and lived up to its billing as one of the finest backpacks out there. Traveling extensively throughout my trip, I broke the two luggages I was carrying. Only my Gregory Backpack survived that trip.
