If you are planning to go camping for the weekend, it is important to be prepared. Make a checklist of the things you need to bring but might forget. Here are a few things that one must remember when going camping:

~ Travel light. You wouldn’t expect to catch up on your reading when camping so don’t bother bringing that 5-pound hardbound book with you.~ Expect the unexpected. This means taking along your emergency survival kit even if you practically know where you are going and you don’t expect any danger whatsoever. Remember, accidents happen when you least expect them.~ Be comfortable. Wear comfortable shoes and loose clothing.~ Don’t forget the bug spray. Well, unless you can tolerate having a zillion bug bites, you’re better off keeping those bugs from attacking you.~ Plan your menu. The hiking would make you famished. Better make sure you’ve got the food supply covered. Appoint someone, the strongest in the group, to carry your camping cookware. This way you get to enjoy hot delicious food.~ Have fun. Enjoy the outdoors and don’t sweat the small stuff. Delight in nature and take timeout to stargaze.
