Camping tents are big investments. If you need one, choose one that is backed by a reputable company. Buying a tent from a trusted manufacturer can make or break your camping experience. There are several manufacturers that you can bank on – Coleman, Kelty and Wenzel are just a few. There are certainly others that produce some of the most durable and efficient camping gear.

Wenzel tents have been around for several decades. Tents are just one of the products made by Wenzel The Camping Company. Wenzel also manufactures sleeping bags, mats, outdoor lighting and accessories. All these started with research that aimed to improve the quality of wagon covers and stockmen’s tarps that the company was selling. That was in 1887. Now, they have a line of products for campers.

Why Do You Go Camping?

There are so many places that many people consider as the best camping spots. They have their own criteria but they could never agree on just one spot. In my opinion, the best campsite is where you are able to do what you came to do. Know fiirst why you are going camping. Are you going camping because you want to get away from the hub of the city? Are you going camping to rough it? Or are you going camping just to be with the people you’re with? Maybe it’s for adventure? These questions are important and you need to ask them before you agree to go on any camping trip.

You see, if you only want to get away from the city, this would mean that you are a city-dweller and very used to modern amenities but wants to get away from it for awhile. The best camping spot for you would be those with log cabins and modern amenities where the view is excellent and nature-perfect! You don’t need any camping tents for that kind of trip. But if you are in the mood for roughing it and it would be your first time, go to a camping site where there are equipments you can rent like camping tents or fishing poles for rent. Why do I suggest you rent? This is because you have never experienced camping before and if you end up buying for something you’ve never done and end up not liking it (which is unlikely) you may not be able to return any of your purchases. All camping trips would be adventurous and this would depend on your positive attitude towards the activity. And, whether or not you are going with a group of people or just one other person OR going alone, camping will definitely make a lasting impression on you.

Bonding Moments

My husband and I often go on what we call nature dates with several friends who are couples themselves. We’d plan weekend getaways to the beach or go camping in popular hiking spots every few months or so. The husbands always bring 2 person tents for us to sleep in at night. The wives take care of what foods to bring and cook.

Having dates like these help refresh and strengthen our relationship. I could tell how important the activities are to our couple friends as well. Two days away from the kids bring our marriage into perspective. I think we’d keep doing this as long as we’re able because it is really such a big help in keeping us close to each other.

Other Uses of Tents

Tents are not just for camping. They have a variety of other uses. They are useful to bring along on picnics in the park or by the beach. With the tent you are able to enjoy the warm weather and soothing water without the harmful effects of the sun rays. This will be especially useful with children in the group.

Beach Texsport tents are different in that they don’t have walls. Certain considerations are needed for tents intended for the beach. They should be sturdy enough to withstand strong winds and frequent handling. They should also be easy to assemble as you might want to change location from time to time. Choose light colored tents for the beach as they tend to ward off heat.

Securing your temporary shelter when you’re out on a hiking or camping trip can be challenging. Aside from its portability, it should be able to provide you enough comfort even if you’re in the middle of the woods. With the various different types of tents, dome tents are the most popular. They are known for their ability to resist strong wind and stormy weather. These come in different sizes ranging from 2-person to 9-person tents.

The structure of dome tents is very simple. It can be single wall, double wall or single wall with partial flysheet. They usually have rectangular floors and two poles each that cross at the peak. The material that’s responsible for keeping their shape is the pole tension. They are considered the best tent with structural integrity and are free standing.

They Know What They

When it comes to the outdoors I trust only one name. That name is Swiss Gear. I’ve been using it since I was pre teen and am very satisfied. My first experience with them is the Swiss Army Knife. It’s a multipurpose tool that can be use anywhere. That’s why when I found out they have a Swiss Gear tent, I rushed and ordered one.

The Swiss sign to me is a mark of excellent and innovative products. Not only do they make handy gear but they also use top notch materials to make their gear. That’s why I trust in their name. Anything they produce, you can be sure of their quality. I still have my first Swiss Army knife. That’s a twenty year old tool that still functions like brand new. That’s the same kind of performance that you can expect on their Swiss Gear tent.

Temporary shelter is one of the most important things-to-bring when you go on a hiking or camping trip. It may not necessarily give you all the comforts you get from your home but should at least be good enough to keep you dry and warm. These portable shelters are called tents. They are typically made up of fabric or other materials attached to poles or ropes. Depending on the size, they can be free standing, attached to the ground or anchored by the use of tent pegs.

Tents can be used in different ways:

  • Recreational – for camping, hiking and other outdoor activities
  • Traditional – used by nomadic people like Mongolians, Native Americans, etc
  • Emergency – temporary shelters for victims of earthquakes, typhoons and other natural and man-made calamities
  • Military – used as temporary barracks by military men; characterized by their quick set up and take down
