When you are working within a budget but would still want to get out of the city, there are many activities and options you could take. Limited funds should not go in the way of your need to unwind and have fun. After all, everyone deserves a break and we need to unwind every once in a while. It is only up to your resourcefulness and open mind that you can enjoy even with limited cash to spend.

Oftentimes, people go to backpacking trips to get away from the city without having to spend much. Since the outdoors has no fancy restaurants or out-of-this-world hotel accommodations, you need not spend too much for this hideaway. All you need with you are canned food, change of clothes, and a Seedhouse tent and you are good to go. Since lightweight works best as you need to carry everything by yourself, it is a must to bring essentials which do not add up to your load. Vacation on a budget is possible when you go backpacking!

Backpacking Adventures

One of my friends asked me a few weeks back to go on a backpacking trip with her. Since I was fairly new in the city and she was the only one I knew aside from my co-workers, I decided to spend some time with her and come to know her better. It was also a great opportunity for me to take a breather after experiencing a lot of stress and anxiety after moving to a totally new place that is far from home. Not only that, I have never really gone backpacking so it was an adventure I would be most willing to try.

Since I only have my essentials brought with me to this new place, I did not have the gear and equipment to use for the trip. She was kind enough to lend me some of her extra stuff, since I found out later on that she loved going on different adventures with her close friends. She lent me a Big Agnes seedhouse tent, a sturdy backpack and a few other equipment which she thinks may be useful for the trip. I totally enjoyed the trip and could not wait to plan the next one! I had a great time which allowed me to relax and start being happy about my decision to move and take the new job. With this trip an enjoyable one, I’m sure there are plenty more backpacking adventures that I am to enjoy!

What is the Backpacking Tent good for?

A good tent is one that is right for the kind of activity that you are planning. We all want a large comfortable tent if we can have our way but that is not always possible. We have to think of the weight and the convenience of carriage. If you are planning a couple of days on the trail, you have to choose the most durable, lightweight and compact tent that you can find. That will be a backpacking tent.

The backpacking tent can be folded to the maximum and be carried as a backpack when on the trail. When browsing through different styles you will find some with single wall construction and others with a breathable layer that is covered with a detachable waterproof rain fly. Modern styles also have waterproof floors. The best ones have large close knit mesh windows for cross ventilation. There will be a great view of the stars at night without bothersome insects getting in.

Advances are going by leaps and bounds. This is so in almost anything. You just have to take a look around your home and you will see how entertainment systems are looking very different from a few years back. Not only are they more powerful, they also come with unique features never imagined before. How about our cell phones? Have you ever thought that they will be an indispensable companion that can take photos and navigate your way around an unfamiliar location, aside from letting your keep in touch with people?

The same is true with camping tents. They are no longer the Boy Scout tent that takes time and sweat to pitch. Modern contraptions such as pop up Big Agnes tents are so easy to set up. They can be as small as to fit one dweller or big enough to fit multiple occupants. They are convenient to carry because they are made of lightweight nylon and polyester mesh that also provides excellent ventilation.
